So here it is. If you want to add type place to cursor and type away. If it is urgent you can change the color by highlighting what you wrote and clicking the bottom above on the left with the T and the little colored ball and clicking text color.
To add a link, hit link button, click the external link tab, put what you what the link text to be (ex. 'Cool Link') and enter (or copy and paste) the web address.

To add a file (Word, Powerpoint, etc.), hit the file button, under the 'Insert File" tab, Upload the file you want from your computer and embed (you can add pictures this way too)

To add a picture from the web, left click and select 'Open in a New Tab', copy the web address, click the 'File' button, choose the 'External Images' tab, paste the web address in the space provided and double-click the image.
